the President angrily threw a SOTU program at Pence I hate to get nit-picky, but if you mean the 2020 SOTU address, he handed one program to VP Pence then handed the other to Nanzi, after which she put out her hand to shake and he just turned around back to the lectern, either not seeing the gesture or ignoring it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxGQhjNz5O0 POTUS doesn't really look angry to me. Irritated, maybe, because of the impeachment in general and Nanzi in particular, but not with Pence. YMMV. I don't think the impeachment results had happened yet. The SOTU address was Feb. 4. I found a video on the
senate vote of the impeachment on Feb. 5. And a vid of
Trump's statement on the acquittal on Feb. 6. So at the SOTU he'd just been through the whole stupid impeachment trial and didn't know the results yet.
(I'm just going by the dates on the videos. I can't recall exactly when all these things occurred and in what order. And it seems like it's been years instead of merely ten months ago! 2020 has been a loooooong year...)
I'm not arguing that Pence wears a lily white hat! I don't know. You bring up other points (re: Flynn, etc.) that make me pause and consider. But to me, the 2020 SOTU shouldn't be counted in that regard. Again, YMMV.
I just wanted to point out that POTUS didn't throw the programs at Pence or Nanzi. :)
