After all these years I consider this man an honorary member of my family.

My whole family loves Rush - he’s has been a solid rock for Conservatives for the last couple of decades. I can’t imagine the airwaves without him, but the reality is that time is coming.
Anyway, to carry on his “legacy” of sorts, in the last month, I bought all 5 of his Rush Revere books and my little grand-nieces are getting them for Christmas. They are too young for the books right now; however, their parents made the decision to homeschool them early this year & that decision was independent of & before “the age of COVID”. Knowing that public education is no longer that, but indoctrination, and the history of America’s founding is no longer taught or taught in such a warped way that “we” are the bad guys, I wanted the girls to have the Rush Revere series.
Some of my favorite phone calls in shows past have been when the kids call in to tell Rush hos much they love his books. Hands down, the favorite character is Liberty, the talking horse with a good sense of humor. To remember the calls with the kids giggling about how funny Liberty is still makes me smile years later. My grand-nieces have a real horse - I’m just waiting for the day when my niece calls to tell me they’re in the pasture, trying to get their horse to talk to them.
Anyway, God Bless to Rush - God willing, we’ll hear him again in 2021. If not, as a man of Faith, he’ll soon forever be in the presence of God’s love.
Do you guys remember when Rush talked about women “pharding” in the car and some callers got irate? Good memories for sure! I am comforted knowing Rush knows Jesus Christ!
Over the years when traveling in the car I recall turning the dial at 12:07 EST trying to hear the “My City Was Gone” bumper music somewhere on the dial.
