You like to put words in people’s mouth. America’s medical leadership is nonexistent as you portray it. FAuci as head of NIAID is pretty much a political appointment. He does not actively practice and is not an epidemiologist. He has a pretty good publicist. He is federally paid so he also has his biases

I am happy you are in love with the guy. In my equally qualified opinion as a physician, in my judgment he is inconsistent and incorrect on a lot of things. But since he is not my boss and I don’t work for him I don’t have to agree with or follow his advice.
