We had one of these ‘natives’ visit us on Thanksgiving morning — I was checking the turkey (overnight smoke) at around 5:00 AM and heard an odd sound.

A bright flashlight illuminated this cat clawing a tree about five feet up (the clawing was the odd sound). A few hours later when the sun was up we checked and from it’s paw prints in the snow we could tell it was a good sized cat.

Tru dat. But they do make quite a bone chilling sounds that can be heard from a distance.
