Hospitals don’t fill out death certificates. If you think doctors are risking their licenses, careers, and freedom to defraud the Federal government because their boss told them to, that’s just crazy. Hospitals are making less than 2% of their annual revenues in COVID-19 reimbursements from the Feds and trying to force doctors to lie and forge death certificates in order to commit fraud would invariably bring about widespread whistleblowing. That would lead to fraud investigations, which would lead to hospitals being shut out of all Federal payments during a very long and painful investigation. It’s unlikely they would survive - financially - during that period.
So you think the hospitals are risking being shut down by trying to force doctors to commit fraud so they can squeeze 2% extra revenue? And you think doctors and family members across the country are just going along with this with no incentive whatsoever?

My father in law was hospitalized over the Memorial Day weekend and despite 4 negative Covid tests, his discharge papers said he was positive. I don’t know how to explain that.
We went ape-____ about it and they rescinded the diagnosis because of our fury. I have zero trust of our medical industry. I know there are wonderful individuals practicing medicine out there, but as a whole this system is not focused on getting us well.
ALL their other surgeries were cancelled....
