I think Bill Barr is a good guy who wants to do the right thing but has been constantly obstructed by the three to four career DOJ layers below him. Those are populated by deep-staters who know how to play the "procedures," the "process" and the "precedents" to maintain such a glacial pace of justice that it eventually gets overtaken by an administration change.

If we ever have a conservative president again, the first order of business should be to fire everybody in the top four layers of the Justice (including FBI) and State departments. Temporarily hiding deeper down in the bureaucracy will not be tolerated. Yes, there will be some continuity problems, but it's the only way to break the deep state.

your right. Ultimately all of DC is controlled by the “Deep Bureaucratic State-the generational employees in each agency with 30+ years of experience digging in deeper and tighter.

How about we just eliminate the State Dept altogether.

They do absolutely nothing. Maybe, decades ago, when it took days and/or weeks to get somewhere on the planet it was needed.

These days, with secure teleconferencing/communications and a fleet of military planes, anyone can be anywhere.

Maybe have a few regional locations, say a few on each continent, other than that, can the whole agency. They’re nothing but American-hating Leftists anyway.

As for the other ones, fire every SES employee. And any SACs that are registered Democrats
