I thought I was fairly politically informed, but what is the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission?

I consider it an educational effort to stop subjecting students to leftist ideology when they attend public schools.

Politico hates it, which is an excellent sign. HEre's their title for today's article: Trump appoints 1776 Commission members in last-minute bid to advance 'patriotic education'

Note they treat 'patriotic education' like it's an epithet
