I think the real value of FNC is to spread the word to swing voters. I mean, if you’re posting on FR, your mind (if you haven’t already lost it in the past six weeks, and Lord knows we’ve got our share of those) is already made up.
They’re the only alternative to broadcast network news and cable network news — the only alternative with the carriage to make a difference.
like it or not, we’re better off in the long run with FNC.
Today I believe you are looking at closer to 48% left of center and 48% right of center with 4% uncommitted. That 4% does not really follow politics but votes. Many are legacy voters, who have always voted like their parents for a specific party. Others are just not well versed on politics.
FNC is preaching to the 48% that are already right of center. They had a good gig going with CNN and MSDNC fighting over the 48% left of center.
Problem is they took it for granted we need them. That was a big mistake. Wallace and Baier thought they could preach to us. They let their guard down and showed us the real depth of their disdain towards us.
I was staying in a guest house in a foreign country. It was late and I wanted a cup of coffee. I headed for the kitchen not wanting to be pretentious and ask a maid to get the coffee. Goats Rule #10, never go into the kitchen in a third world country because you will never eat at that guest house again. Once we saw the disdain Wallace had for us, not just for Trump, it was like going in that kitchen. I could never view FNC as anything other then sickening again. They are actors who call themselves pundits. They led us around by our nose for years and I am done with it. They need to know our level of disdain for them.
Today, FNC needs to keep whomever they can and get part of the 4% to watch. Their days of a monopoly on the right of center people is over. It needs to be a lesson across this country. Attack us, call us deplorable or f#@kers and you will pay. Attack our values and we will devalue you. FNC needs to be the first to be devalued.
