Re One official never signed the Pfizer paperwork, so they sold the vaccine to China:

1. I so appreciate hearing your medical/ international views. It is helpful to know news our media don’t tell us and see things from a different perspective. Thank you!

2. What is the source of your information on the one lazy/bribed official? Do your news media report these things to the people?

3. I’m sure POTUS would want the Philippines to have the economic benefit of producing the vaccine. Wouldn’t Pfizer tell POTUS of the difficulty with the paperwork, before selling it to China? It seems like he would move Heaven and earth not to benefit China in any way at this time and that he would find a way to go around that official. Did your government try to circumvent the corrupt official? Surely they want the economic boon!

3. Or are you writing about simply purchasing doses of the vaccine, not production?

They didn't sell the vaccine to China. They sold it to Singapore. Lots of Chinese there but they hate Xi's China.

This article names who did it

https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1373864/amb-romualdez-says-he-may-be-partly-to-blame-on-botched-pfizer-deal

The article sounds like the government is trying to deflect blame....the ambassador laments he didn't pressure Duque enough...but this is nonsense. It was Duque’s job to know he needed to do it.

Senator Lacson raised the complaint. So there is politics involved in the charge.

Another article. Rappler is anti Duterte, and the Inquirer is leftist.

https://www.rappler.com/nation/duterte-tells-duque-answer-locsin-allegation-botched-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-deal

One problem in knowing what is going on here is that the libel law is strict so they can't print rumors.

Another problem is that if you don't know who is related to whom or who is allied with each other, it's hare to figure out what's going on.

But locals like my husband just shrug and say they're all crooks. And comments on these articles and youtube are the ones hinting bribery is behind the error.
