I agree, that is ideal.

I have been calling and emailing my Republican state and congressional representatives and urging them to stand up for us.

But, for whatever reason, many of them won’t. I support the efforts of anyone who is. I don’t understand the push by many on FR to malign anyone fighting on our side. Those same people are also on social media urging Americans to put pressure on our state reps and they have a wide reach. They are leading the charge in words and actions - why are so many here so intent on disparaging them?

I think there’s a lot of frustration with false promises, lack of execution, unwarranted hype, etc. that builds up over time. Disappointment after disappointment also creates distrust and skepticism.

I do respect people who try to move the ball down field. Unfortunately most Republicans seem to be content with sitting in the grandstands rather than getting out on the field and playing to win.

Bottom line, and its just my view, we need a lot more people leading the charge (as you put it). And we need people committed to pushing back on liberalism and getting results. Worse, the Republicans often seem like they are rooting for the other team.

As the old adage goes, after all is said and done there’s a lot more said than done. I think that’s what bugging people.
