Get the antenna outside if possible, or if inside, near a window for best reception. Up high is better in general.
Keep the antenna away from sources of interference like the dishwasher, washing machine, or any old noisy florescent light fixtures. Some of those things put out some nasty hum that seems to sneak into radio devices, especially when dealing with low-strength signals.
I’ll get you user tips when im back up and running hands on again. its been awhile but that is a nice receiver!
