I was thinking that in one of the movies, he was a doctor who’s wife was killed and daughter seriously injured (I can’t remember if it was DW-1 or 2) in an attack by typical punk/thuggish dirtbags (that look a lot like Antifa but without the masks).

I might be thinking about a totally different movie here. Bronson made a great vigilante though.
