Have you used the 818? I’m curious as to the capability of these. I have no clue about the brand.
Having an 80 meter antenna is great. Lots of activity on the 80 meter and 40 meter bands, and they tend to allow worldwide reception when conditions are right (signals skipping off the upper levels of the ionosphere, which can act as a ‘mirror’ at times).
I still have one actually but the speaker went out. Otherwise I think it should work. I loved it. Also got my tech license back in the day. Tech is just voice.
