Do not apologize, Aqua. It’s very distressing. I make people wearing masks repeat themselves at least 3 times.

Tonight we got a Christmas tree, OUTSIDE, and there was a sign saying something about masks. All the sheep has masks on OUTSIDE. We refused to wear them. My plan was to say something like.. “Don’t ruin it.” No one said a thing.

But I was ready this time. I was texting our youngest son in Colorado.. he never wears a mask anymore. Half the people don’t.

And I’m like what is wrong with my city that everyone is sheep???

That is my ‘plan’ if one questions my NOT being masked.
After the third time and me looking dazed, I can picture them pulling the mask down to ‘scream’ “Where is your mask?” with my (planned) statement..
“You don’t have one on, why should I?”

My hard struck tinnitus (I swear someone standing next to me can hear it) must be worse than I thought and I must rely on lip reading more than I admit as I do have problems hearing masked ones speak BUT I tend to ignore them whenever possible.

There are markers on the floor in my grocery store directing people to go One Way and markers that say Wrong Way. Have heard people being yelled at on the next aisle over for going the Wrong Way. It's surreal.

Wearing masks outside is insane, have seen someone riding a bicycle with a mask on.
Am glad you didn't get berated for not wearing a mask while buying a Christmas. We may have to spike the egg nog to get through this Christmas season.
