A few people are getting really sick. And most of them are DENIED EFFECTIVE TREATMENT, in a gruesome, mayhap demonic, effort to feed the PANIC of about half the population. Early in the process the murders were exacerbated by deliberate government policy in places like New York.
But is even half the population actually fooled anymore? I doubt it.

Suddenly it strikes me: The first virus was mild but virulent. If it had been deadly it would have hurt China. But it did have the effect of shutting down international borders.
