Why were bicycles on an interstate highway? I thought that was illegal b/c of the obvious danger.

They were on a us hwy. not interstate

I travel these roads frequently. They are your traditional deserted roads, wide open throttle

Technically 95 is not an “interstate”. It’s a State highway and in that section it is no place for bicycles to be.

Fed Hwy 95 is NOT an Interstate in Nevada.
