As you’re likely aware, ransomnote is responsible & dutiful in her management of these threads. On a regular basis and in appropriate intervals, albeit in time or numbers of posts, she starts a new thread ... people make the transition - or they DON”T. Because of how quickly the thread can move, the transition announcement can quickly become lost and those going to the latest posts and work their way backwards miss it and end up interacting in same + similar fashion but on the “old” thread ... before the realization comes. bagster often helps out with a repost on the old thread for those who’ve missed it. Thus, as I came to understand it, from my own experience, lol, this period on the old thread which is then otherwise moved on from, is called “festival”.
I know there is a broader meaning to “festival” but that is the nature of the event / transition.
