I loved it as a child, one of my favorite books. The modern movie looked super creepy, of course modern Hollywood spoils everything it touches.
But the original book with the Tenniel illustrations was wonderful. I had a very strong imagination though, and loved fantasy books like that, not everyone’s cup of tea of course. Thinking back on the stories now and being somewhat new to Q, I think there might be a some Alice and TTLG references used by Q. The books had lots of layered meanings I think ( not dark or creepy but sarcastic and somewhat cynical of British politics of that day. Which I certainly didnt get as a 10 year old haha).

British or old English prose was often full of political Satire because of NO RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH! Particularly if it was critical of the people or parties in power.
Hence the absolute INSISTENCE on the First Ammendment to ensure ALL AMERICANS can openly and FREELY speak their minds on issues ESPECIALLY POLITICAL point of view in our Unique in the World Marketplace of Ideas.
This is why POTUS is fighting for us! Without Freedom of Speech in OUR VOTE! OUR MEDIA (all types), in our INTERNET SPEECH, in our PAPERS and Personal Writings ( to include personal email and text) WE HAVE NO FREEDOM!
The MOST PRECIOUS RIGHT of a living American Citizen (not dead, illegal, non-citizen person(s)) is the right to express our Freedom of Speech in our expression of the VOTE in the Election of Our Leaders. They Represent US while they Support AND Defend OUR Constitution against ALL Enemies, Foreign and Domestic!
When our elected leaders, judges, any official having taken the oath of office or obedience to same FAILS to do their duty they are Guilty of at a minimum gross negligence and dereliction of duty and worst case of Sedition or Treason. In any case, ALL deserve removal from office with a minimum of retirement to private life or Execution for Treason as the gravity of their guilt is revealed.
We will either stand up for Liberty and Justice for All, or we will sink into oblivion as just another failed nation state on the trash heap of history. The clock is ticking, will we stand as Free People or run like mice afraid of the light?
There is not time nor place in America for hidden messages of political satire, let us pray that the God of Heaven and Earth will lead us to the Light of Freedom with Strong Statesmen Leaders and Bold Action!
Pray for the Nation, Pray for our Leaders and Judges, pray for our fellow Citizens, pray for a calm spirit and clear thinking that we are prepared for the battles before us. Amen!
