Weird indeed. Reminds me of the massacre, Meadowlands? Perpetrated by the Mormons on some innocent pioneers passing through to California, then blaming the natives. Fascinating story. Very tragic They murdered anyone over the age of 5?

If I recall the meadow which this group stopped was gorgeous, but after the massacre it became a wasteland.

DH worked wildfires and reguarl fires for 8 years. Firefighters see stuff like that. Not abnormal. Fires are strange.
