***Why did Kentucky decide they wanted a Democrat Governor, while voting nearly straight ticket for Republicans***

I suspect because Repub Governor Bevin was trying to straighten out teachers union state pension excesses that, like Illinois, Califonia, etc., we're impossible to meet without bankrupting the state. Don't cross the teachers unions.
