I saw Parler CEO was against 230 being cut out.

If this is true, I see self-interest in play. Parler is distinguished by supporting free speech. If ALL platforms are required to support free speech, then Parler is just another platform.

Ron (codeMonkeyZ) posted a warning last night that Parler was compromised. Indeed some days ago I got a notice from Lifelock that my email was listed on the dark web. I changed all my passwords using that email as a username. That email was used as my Parler account name.

I’ve deleted my Parler account.

Word to the wise.

It is true because I am on Parler and get notifications from John Matze and thats exactly what he says. He opposes pulling 230

As I understand it, 230 limits liability to providers if they police the “crazys” and the monopoly providers are using it to censor and citing it for “protection”.

Without 230, a site merely needs to word their use agreement to indicate that by using the service the user assumes the liability for whatever they say or upload to the system.
