I think it can have several meanings, but I know it’s a softer, kinder Marines nowadays, than when my dad was in, late 40s? In his day, there were a lot of suicides. So they handed out a leaflet on how to to kill yourself properly.

My dad has some interesting stories. He stabbed a guy trying to steal his piece of cake. Took his fork and stabbed the guy’s hand to the table.
