If a state would give up their electoral votes then it seems it would 50% + 1 of 538-37 = 501 or 251? Still doesn’t help Pres. Trump@@@@@@
As I understand this, the total required does not change if a States electoral votes are not accepted. Think of it as voting “Present”. The number is still 270 to outright win the electoral college vote.

One is for my scenario, one could be for your scenario, tho they call it an open issue.
