I remember reading an interesting blurb about the 1918 Spanish Flu.(I know, COVID not flu or maybe it should be treated like flu or ...)

It seems, the 2nd wave was killing everybody, yet it didn’t fade away, it died suddenly in places in the US after the 2nd wave.

From wiki (I know, I know)

“After the lethal second wave struck in late 1918, new cases dropped abruptly. In Philadelphia, for example, 4,597 people died in the week ending 16 October, but by 11 November, influenza had almost disappeared from the city.”

I’m guessing your relative is going to be right on...

I’m pulling for his take! But that’s meaningless. The waves and wavelets this virus moves within are so strange. They seem to replicate all over the country but with different timing in different areas. Colorado been having lots of cases and hospitalizations and deaths are up a lot too so it’s real. Deaths are not as high compared to the earlier hot periods though, and the peak of this wave may have just passed. Watching closely. Slight downward bias in daily new cases has formed, hoping it sticks.
