Thanks, now on to the Senate. I fear a few Senators will argue for cutting foreign aid to give additional aid to Americans. They would be right in principle, but people that need the money won’t see it that way, and the foreign governments will still get their money, so what good will it do? Other than helping get the democrats elected in Georgia.
Are our federal government legistlators venal, crooked, stupid, traitorous, or ???
When it comes to foreign aid most senators and representatives (democrats and republicans) vote as if they were elected to represent the entire
world population except their own fellow Americans.
The total US foreign aid is difficult to define because Congress and bureaucracies like the State Department and CIA hide and disguise
much of the money and goods handed out to other countries.
But some information is available upon which reasonable estimates can be made.
To put US foreign aid in perspective, US taxpayers are about 1.8% of the world population and finance somewhere around 20% to 25%
of the total foreign aid paid or distributed by all countries in the world.
And that is money we do not have.
Our federal government debt is now about $27 Billion.
So the federal government is putting our nation further in debt by borrowing more money to give away to other nations, many of whom hate our guts
and work against us economically and politically in the UN and other world forums.
