That’s quite a drive, for groceries!

Hmmmm.....I wonder if they’ve built up/have more stores, since then.

How long ago did you live in Alpine?

They had a grocery store, but not big one with a lot of choices, that was way back in early seventies. El Paso also had stores for clothes, and entertainment! Remember we were young then. . I went back to Alpine about 25 years ago and it had grown some, I remember it had some fast food places.

Also, Ft. Stockton is closer and had more than Alpine did back then.

Just thought I would mention...Alpine gets about 17 inches of rain per year.
