Yesterday afternoon my campaign formally initiated the process to begin a discovery recount. We are seeking a discovery recount in each of the seven counties within the 14th Congressional District.
As I have promised you since day one, we are fighting hard to make sure that every legal vote is counted in this critical race – but we can’t do it without your help.
Remember: A discovery recount does not change a single vote, but it does allow us to see if the outcome might change with a full recount.
Election law provides campaigns the ability to request a discovery recount in close elections. As we have said for the last few weeks, we would be seeking a discovery recount and the first of these recounts have been formally filed in DuPage County. We will be filing paperwork in the other counties in the coming days.
hey thanQ. It never ends w/Oberweis..that was a close race all election night and I actually thought he pulled it out...until the mail-ins started being counted. I don’t see how he covers 5400 + votes
