Problem is, it is very complicated. I know in my state, plans offered vary by the county you live in. We used and have been happy with an insurance broker who’s associated with our retirement organization. I’m sure someone pays them, but it isn’t us (directly) and it was nice to have someone lay out our options for us. They put no pressure on us to pick a particular policy.

United Health Care canceled coverage in one of our two big hospitals here. Huge deal since many who had UCH coverage found themselves unable to use the hospital. To make things worse this happened when the Wuhan started to infect people here. Both UHC and the hospital blamed each other and it dragged on for a half a year or so before UHC agreed to cover the hospital again.
