Leftists are destroying modern books and movies, so in tribute to the birthdays of Louisa May Alcott and C.S. Lewis, please post recommendations for favorite family-friendly books and movies with the reasons you like them.
book list
It is always interesting to read pioneer stories written by authors who actually lived them.
It is like walking through their lives.
I will be sure to check that out.
Thank you, if you have a moment to post the name of the author of the Blaze books, I will look those up along with the others.
She was great.
Little Women was the first book where I genuinely loved the characters.
I first read the story of the Marches at age ten and felt wealthy when I found out that Louisa May Alcott had written many other books and that I got to read all of those too.
“I first read the story of the Marches at age ten ...”

That’s how I felt.
I am in my 60s. When I want to feel a bit younger in my mind, I retrieve it from my little library.
The interesting thing is she wrote from both the perspectives, with Little Women and Little Men.
Her other stories built upon them with such wonderful detail.
There is a great book called The Early Stories of Louisa May Alcott that I highly recommend.
“Little Women” — my favorite book ever.
Every time I read it over, I think that maybe Beth won’t die, and Jo will love Laurie. :(

I thoroughly enjoyed that book!
Over the years I’ve read all her books.
Eight Cousins and Rose In Bloom were another two good books.
The third book in the series is wonderful.
- Spoiler from 1886 follows -
Daisy got to marry Nat.
C W Anderson. Great illustrations.
“The third book in the series is wonderful.”

There is a THIRD book to that series??
In every library I’ve been to and in catalogs, I’ve not seen a third book.
What’s the title?
I always wondered what happened...!
Jo’s Boys.
“Jo’s Boys.”
