Only fly in the ointment is if POTUS publicly shows a biological attack upon U.S. the Our Current Military Doctrine is a NUCLEAR response. I believe POTUS intent is to save the people, save the Nation, and destroy CCP economically so they fall from within.

I would think that whatever kind of military response would be done in consultation with POTUS, and a non-nuke response could be worked out.
Those plans are made in consultation with the President, not in a vacuum. He can obviously do something else, but nuke is the word for this type of attack.
