“Fav game was Flying Carpet.”
Gottlieb EMs are great. I played Flying Carpet at a show in Ohio quite a few times. It was restored to like new condition. Great game.
I grew up in the 80s, so I got to play a LOT of outstanding games as they were released :-). I own several (more than several actually :-) ). It’s a fun habit. I got hooked on collecting/fixing/restoring them in college when they were being blown out by operators in the 90s. I wish I was as good at the stock market as I was with picking games that I had to own ... they’ve appreciated in value substantially :-).
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!!! :-)
Slide...
Around 1980 I could play Asteriods for an entire 20 minute band break on one quarter and let someone take the game over when break ended. PacMan was another favorite.
Good luck with the collection. I would love to have an old fashion pinball machine. Alas, too many other ventures. Nothing like he sound when you chalk up a free game.
