And if the state legislature insists that it may select Demoncrat Electors and the court agrees in spite of the argument made against that, it will create precedent and momentum for swing states to have Republican Electors selected by their legislatures.
I’m trying to remember the last time I saw a California general election ballot with that language about the electors chosen for the Presidential candidates. I am trying hard to remember, but I think the last time I saw it (if memory serves) could not have been recent, maybe 2008 or earlier.
