Old but interesting interview of James Leavelle, the lawman with the white hat who was escorting Oswald when Oswald was shot by Jack Ruby.

He said Ruby got in because there was a short break in security lasting seconds. But Jack Ruby is seen on film hanging around the cops attending press meets before on at least one occasion.

I don’t find his remark to Oswald about being “as good a shot as you are” the least bit funny. Considering the circumstances and what a LOUSY, INCOMPETENT job the DPD did of guarding a man who the entire country was furious at, if I were him I’d keep my mouth shut on the subject.
