Stationed in DC in the USAF, between '62 & '66, Sharon and I made our way to the Memorial Bridge the day of JFK's funeral. Shot this as the cortege rolled past. Those muffled drums and Chopin's Funeral March STILL ring in my ears to this day. I've been a conservative republican (small "r") all my life but understand that JFK, Humphrey & Georgia' Larry McDonald were probably the LAST Democrats to love their country. God save us from the current crop(or is that CRAP?).

Well, I once voted for two others, Sam Nunn and "Zig-Zag" Zell Miller. Straight Republican from my first opportunity after the voting age was changed, to vote for President Nixon other than those two Democrats.
