My cousin is from Gonzaga and a teammate of the M’s Marco Gonzalez on the varsity baseball team. Yes, there is a baseball team on Gonzaga, and not only hoops.

Gonzaga’s had an excellent baseball program for over 50 years. I knew Lenn Sakata and Rick Sweet, to name just two. I lived across the hall from Lenn my sophomore year.

I saw Rick when he was with the Padres organization, his teams played against the El Paso Diablos.
