The Republican Party is committing suicide
American Thinker ^ | 17 Nov, 2020 | Henry Edwards

There are so many assertive actions the Republican Party could take to support Trump, but it’s utterly passive. Its suicide comes at a cost for Americans.

If the Republican Party fails to use every possible stratagem to retain the Presidency in 2020, it will have signed its death certificate. The majority of the 73 million people whose votes for Trump were properly counted may well turn away from the Republican Party in disgust. Why bother to vote if the Republican Party is too feckless and incompetent to mount a successful challenge to a stolen election? However, this act of suicide comes at a cost.

When they’re accused of fecklessness, establishment Republicans, in their defense, will point to gains in the House and, if we’re lucky, to their holding the Senate gain. However, much of this gain isn’t due to the Republican brand but, instead, to Trump’s coattails.

At the “Republican brand” level, we have the self-styled “Lincoln Project” Republicans who aggressively tried to intimidate Trump’s lawyers before they got shamed and deleted their tweet:

Yep, the GOP in Georgia is blowing it for the entire country.

Flimsey Grahamnesty and Micro Rubio are salivating for the chance to help them get that amnesty and permanent majority.

Exactly right...The open borders crowd in the senate are going to help write the amnesty language for biden. What they don’t realize is that they will be writing themselves out of a job. The dems will sponsor candidates with name we can’t pronounce, and have no interest in the future of, or allegiance to America. 2 or 3 cycles...and the next generation of Americans will be mowing and picking lettuce for the “Man From LaMancha.”

...taking back the GOP from Trump

If that's the case, the GOP will be crushed!

It would be suicide. How do you go from huge odds of wiping your ass with the Left to destroying your party base? We all know it is fraud. Fuck, even Ray Charles can see that.

I pray Team Trump is successful. Best President ever! If not, I'm done with the Republican Party (not Trump, just the Republican Party).

This guy is hopelessly naive - if Biden and the Dems get away with stealing the WH and they end up “winning” both Senate seats in Georgia, then it won’t matter how unified the Republicans are in the future. No matter how many people vote Republican, the Party will never win the Presidency or control either House of Congress again, not after fraud is cemented into the system, the courts are packed and 20 million new Dems are amnestied and given citizenship.

Short-sighted moron!

I’m ready for a new party based on the constitution and populism.
Not going to support the old country club , rotary club party of being satisfied with loosing nice and screwing workers in this country with cheap imported labor and products.

Well the MAGA party is just getting started. If they steal this election with the help of the GOP, we’ll be ready to replace them in 2024. Send them the way of the Whigs.

Sadly; most people who claim to be “Independent” are really just dem-lite.

Even the elected Independents in congress caucus with the dems.

I have true hatred for the majority of teachers and administrators in this country. They’ve effectively killed America.

THIS!!!

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 and the Reagan amnesty finished off America. There was no coming back from such actions. The overload was successful.

GOP Inc is in the early stages of grooming Rubio for the nomination in 2024. I wonder what stiff they will pair him with?

He’s our 188 electoral vote boy!

Well. I disagree. If Trump decides to walk away or the lawsuits fail (which so far have happened), Trump leaves behind a party that has opened the door to the work class, women and minorities like never before. There are a lot of people who can easily step in (without the rough edge). Also, Trump may come back in 2024.
