Presidential Message on Diwali
whitehouse.gov ^ | November 14, 2020 | President Donald J Trump

Posted on 11/14/2020 1:14:35 PM PST by ransomnote

The First Lady and I send our warmest wishes to all those celebrating Diwali this week.

During this Festival of Lights, friends, neighbors, and loved ones join in fellowship to commemorate the spiritual triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. As diyas are lit throughout homes, workplaces, communities, and places of worship, their warmth reminds us of the hope and devotion that faith and tradition bring into our lives.

The United States is a deeply faithful nation, and I am proud of my Administration’s work defending the constitutional right of all Americans to live and worship according to their conscience. Wherever Americans light diyas to celebrate Diwali, our Nation shines bright as a beacon of religious liberty for all people.

This year, we are especially reminded to cherish and give thanks for the companionship of our friends and family. The First Lady and I wish the millions of people in the United States and around the world observing Diwali a joyous celebration and prosperous new beginnings.

Trump will win. He did win. And it will be proven. There is not “if he doesn’t win he can run again.”

Or it could be because President Trump actually does love the Constitution, the 1st Amendment, America and all Americans. An unbelievable POV that finds little support on either side of the aisle these days. :)

Her mother was from Ceylon (Sri Lanka); her mom took her to Temple regularity. She’s Tamil which is not a nationality most would recognize - hence, Hindu which is close and people know the name. She’s 50 percent Tamil and the rest is Jamaican, but no African DNA - or as much African DNA as Liz Warren has of Naive American.

She went to temple even in the US? I thought her mother was from India, from Sri Lanka, didn’t know. Her Jamaican father as a tiny bit African, but doesn’t looke like much more than 1/8, so Camela is even less.
