I had the same problem and I was already on landscape. It also affected my ability to make a post that had proper formatting (post 208).
Then most likely landscape only works as a solution if that yields a screen wide enough for the long item. I have an iPad Pro which so far has been adequately wide in landscape mode. I’m betting on a Safari mobile defect.
