Is there a basement?
We can’t have basements, in SE TX, so I am fascinated by them. We can build UP, but, not down.

Too much slate to go down here. Also unable to hit water although we have springs in the area. East is farm land. West is sand. Barn sits on clay. Bill behind is sand and stone Dad said it was a glacier dump area.
Neighbor said we’re more than likely to hit natural gas than water.
A crawl space that is five blocks high on the front. It built on hill so goes from 2-5 blocks under. Will be easy to plumb and run wires beneath floor area. You can see the metal entrance door on side. Will be able to go in in case of tornado.
