I don't care what anyone says I am excited about Special Counsel John Durham at least something is finally happening for once.— Shem Horne (@Shem_Infinite) December 1, 2020
What's the difference from the past couple years of him investigating, now being named Special Counsel?— President Elect - johnny nas (@Johnny__Nas) December 1, 2020
The main difference is we can talk about how the Special Counsel must be protected at all costs and there must be bipartisan support for him to finish his investigation and he must fill his team with Trump loyalists and we can't question their political donations. https://t.co/fD1a0NXa5u— Shem Horne (@Shem_Infinite) December 1, 2020
Optimistic take: If there was absolutely nothing going to happen to anyone they wouldn't bother appointing Durham as Special Counsel he would just quietly finish whatever the heck it was he was doing and that would be the end of it.
Democrats and media said from 2017 through 2019 that it would be a criminal offense if Trump interfered with Mueller's investigation or if Trump even contemplated firing him.
The same standard must now be applied to Biden, who is implicated in Russiagate. https://t.co/CTRiqBgpj9— Sean Davis (@seanmdav) December 1, 2020
