MICHIGAN

168.887 Recount of votes; misconduct of employees, felony.
Sec. 887. Any officer, assistant, clerk or employee engaged in the conduct of a recount who shall wilfully
commit any act which shall interfere with a fair and impartial recount of the votes cast for a contested office,
amendment or proposition shall be deemed guilty of a felony and subject to penalties thereof.

Working where I do with the state government, I wonder....

my state has passed a law that if you're convicted of a felony that pertains to your job, you forfeit your state pension. So it would have to be something like-I’m the county finance officer and I embezzle money from the county, I forfeit, but if I murder someone due to road rage, I wouldn't forfeit the pension.

Be interesting to see if Michigan has a similar provision.
