Trying to catch up ...what’s the deal with the Ls and Is? I know they are POTUS misspellings but what do they mean?

Misspelling a candidate’s name with hard to catch error can throw an election.
If they programmed the Republican party to be RepubIican (l replaced by similar-looking but inaccurate capital I), there is no such party (Repubiican), so those votes are unassigned. It’s unclear if that programming was applied to the presidential vote only or all the way down the ticket. These would be the “lost” votes you may have read about.
Code Monkey thinks that’s how they identified the votes to be tampered with. It looked like Republican to the eye, but the computers saw it as RepubIican. The lowercase L was actually a capital I.
Makes me wonder about Eye the Spy. Did he pick that Twitter handle because he knew about the capital I (eye)?
