Not true. McConnell is the keeper of the keys when it comes to Senate confirmations and walks a fine line between the Never Trumpers and those on the Trump Train. McC tells Trump who the Senate will confirm and who cannot be confirmed, thus tying POTUS’ hands on potential nominations. As with the CIA and FBI (and Sec Def too), McC gave the blessing for Haspel and Wray and vetoed others that Trump might have preferred but could not have.
These under secretaries are confirmed by the Senate, too. Trump is putting his guys in there who Mitch never would confirm. It’s been stinky swamper after another in those positions before this.
This looks like a war footing to me. POTUS punched the MAD button on his phone. If he’s going to get taken out with a stolen election then the Deep State is going to pay a HEAVY price for their 4 year old coup.
