“But even few of the locals wore masks.”

Sorry, but I live close to Tucson and have shopped there more than I like. Folks are not required to wear them outside, but I’d estimate 90% compliance indoors.

Well, I went out to eat Mexican food everyday I was there and not once was I asked to wear a mask going into a restaurant or while I was inside. My math says that's zero % compliance on my part.

The only place I was asked to wear a mask was a Fry's grocery store on east Speedway at the entrance. About 50% of the people inside weren't wearing a mask after I got in. I took mine off.

It's all anecdotal but I still stand by my claim that people are getting tired of wearing masks. There's plenty of evidence that they don't work against the spread of the virus.

Even the CDC reported a couple of weeks ago that 85% of the people who contracted the virus, either wore a mask full time or most of the time before they tested positive for the virus. More proof that the masks don't do much good to stop the spread of the submicroscopic, dead particle.

I'm still hanging on to the hope that Trump will eventually prevail in this election but Biden is not doing himself any favors by trying to federally mandate the wearing of masks. At one time I thought he admitted he could not mandate it federally except on federal property. But he is feeble-minded lately and has communists advising him.

Expecting the wearing of masks to be effective by requiring people to wear a mask some places but not others is the same as expecting efforts at stopping climate change to work in all states when only some states impose tight restrictions on it. It's a fool's dream.

But then, we're talking Biden here.
