(nb: posting blind, have not yet read this thread in any detail)

in the nyt_ts data, for georgia, i am having some confusion with the column labels overall. however, if my conjectures are correct regarding column labeling, and if the figures are accurate, i am seeing somewhat saw-toothed behavior between these times, during which trump’s lead eventually shrinks from 54.3% to 50.6%.

wondering if you guys seeing it too?

apparently one of the leftmost columns is projected votes and it remains constant, so someone can do a calculation on how much help biden would need to goose the figures to pass trump, even during the ongoing count if the count is far enough along.

time dem pct rep pct

3:57 am 44.5 54.3
(...ascending sawtooth pattern pct increase for dems here...)
6:36 am 48.1 50.6

during this period, the total vote count goes from 3.29M to 4.67M, or equivalently, a net positive 138K votes.

this occurs from row 5649 to 5715, which represents a total of 67 tranches in the time period of 2 hours and 39 minutes.

immediately after this, there are a few numerically small tranches, ending at 8:14 am (column 5722).

after this, there is a 4 hour break, after which incoming tranches are received again (12:12 am, column 5723).

i wonder what the outside world saw from the MSM during this period of time, and where the bipartisan monitoring team was during this period of time, and whether or not there were any external abnormalities noted from the outside during this time.

anyways, after row 5723, the table continues to document a slow although steady decline in trump’s lead until the rows for georgia end at row 5922, by which time the dem pct is 49.4 and the republican pct is 49.3.

maybe this could use more pairs of eyes on this, and a graph if someone out there is more facile with excel.

The timeline fits - Fulton was the only one counting. That would have been after the GA GOP observers were kicked out

Let me repeat. Fulton County elections officials told the media and our observers that they were shutting down the tabulation center at State Farm Arena at 10:30 p.m. on election night only to continue counting ballots in secret until 1:00 a.m.

The numbers are pretty close to this to the 132,000 votes under dispute in Fulton County
