Making a “loyalty” list?

Loyalty to what, Lt?

I'm just trying to let some of the DC Republicans who hang out here (or their "people") get a sense of their voting base.

We're a wee bit more ardent and political here on FR - but the sentiment should be the same at large.

I'm not marching into battle as one of the Republican Party's "Irish" in 2022...

I voted for Senator Collins, don’t want to, but Gideon is a nightmare.
I was thinking of becoming an independent if the state legislatures don’t back President Trump. Which is likely because most politicians are gutless self-absorbed hacks.
The left never stops, the have no shame or soul. You’d think the gop legislatures would understand they’re next, but they seem afraid to act.

And his chosen vice-candidate is worse. Not that she’s been in office as long, but that she isn’t even as honest as he is.

I throw up in my mouth a little every time I think of that slimy whore.

I’m a Conservative Republican. Conservative first, Republican second. The Republican Party and Republican politicians, including President Trump, are a vehicle for getting the most conservative policies enacted as possible in a given election.

Politicians aren’t saviors, they are tools.

I vote the most conservative option in the primary and the Republican in the General Election.

Sitting out a election, voting third party, or (gag) voting for the Democrat, is shooting yourself in the foot.

There’s no such thing as a lesser of 2 evils

In Maine, defeating that militant leftist Gideon was a good thing. Not an evil

My family has been Republican since Lincoln. My Republicanism had been reinforced by having grown up with the Democrat machine in St Clair County, Illinois and having lived for many years with the Democrat machine of Cook County. The one time I broke from the ranks was when I voted for Glenn Poshard instead of George Ryan for governor because Poshard was more conservative on some key issues. Considering how Ryan turned out, I am very proud of that vote.

I have lived in areas in which no Republicans were running for local and legislative offices, so it is always a treat for to have one on the ballot. By and large, my experience shows me that Republicans more often do things to my liking. Having said that, I also think too many Republicans are too comfortable with the way things are and lack any gumption whatsoever to fight. Trump is a fighter. We need a lot more. If the Republicans can’t find that resolve to fight, then I might be open to an alternative, but an alternative that has a chance of winning, not just being a spoiler.

Lesser of two evils, for sure. I am almost ashamed to admit I vote for Republicans, I usually just say that I vote against Democrats.

To paraphrase what the south park creators said they (used to?) believe.... "I dont like Republicans, but I absolutely LOATHE Democrats"

Interesting poll, thanks.

I’m a Libertarian first and foremost. Both Republicans and Democrats are disagreeable but R’s are considerably more acceptable.

Guess I’m a lesser of two evils voter. I’d happily join a MAGA PARTY if there were one.

I am a Constitutionalist. (NC calls Us “Independent”)

I Voted both 2016 & 2020 for President Trump because He is a Businessman and can Balance a Checkbook and that’s more than any of the politicians can do !!!

I am lucky to have a great U.S. Representative in Ted Budd. He really impressed Me one morning when I called His local NC office at 06:45 one morning planning on leaving a message for Him about a Social Security problem that was being dealt with by He and His Staff.

2 rings and the phone was answered and I hear “Good Morning, Ted Budd speaking how can I help You ?” He answered the call Himself at 06:45 !!!

He also immediately recognized My name and knew what issue I was calling about !!!

I wonder if any of the other U.S. House Reps do that ?

We need a MAGA Party. Sitting GOP Senators and congressmen can join. It would have 40 million people overnight.

The GOP is the MAGA Party, 70 million voters strong. The RINOs can go start their own party, it's our GOP now!

People need to understand that our system is a two party system. It's very much a winner-take-all system. The winning candidate for President chooses replacements on the Supreme Court. A majority of the Senate controls confirmations. Presidential executive orders control a great amount of the administration of government functions.

The President and his cabinet, at least theoretically, control our intelligence agencies and the Department of Justice.

No third party candidate has won the Presidency since at least the U.S. Civil War. The more sane way to establish new policies is from within one of the two parties. Trump's win is one example of this happening. The primary election is the place work on new policies.

It is for the reasons above that I will NEVER vote for a Democrat. I have a very intelligent relative who voted for Biden. I am pretty sure they chose him over Trump on the basis of observed personality characteristics. "Nice Guy" Biden was chosen despite the communism of the Democrat Party and their determination to disarm the American people. What nation has ever allowed itself to be disarmed and then regained that right?

So-called "freedom of choice" may have played a part, but any sensible person would know that our Founders never intended for unalienable human rights to include the right to end the life of an unborn baby. Just watching the process should sicken anybody who values their own families.

Consider myself a conservative more than a Republican yet have never voted for a Democrat. Tried to register as an Independent in Florida but soon found that eliminated any input into primaries, hence I am a registered Republican. I am a strong supporter of Donald Trump and consider him to be one of the best Presidents in my lifetime despite disliking many of his traits as an individual.

The question is flawed because voting for the R ticket is in nearly all cases the lesser of evils.

"We need a MAGA Party. "

We HAVE a MAGA party. It is the Republicans. Thanks to the MAGA party we have what we hope is a lasting conservative majority on the Supreme Court. We may still have a majority in the Senate. If Trump is not elected in 2020, then I intend to support Trump in 2024.

Let's hope that our Supreme Court majority can hold on that long.
