I’m not sure it will have to come to that. I’ve been reading about the blockchain technology. I gather that it was used experimentally in West Virginia in the 2018 election. I also saw from a link someone posted here a short time ago that the President and his team monitored the election from a SCIF at the White House. I don’t mean he watched the returns being posted on network TV. My understanding is that they were watching the returns electronically using blockchain.
If I understand blockchain well enough, records entered using that technology cannot be manipulated without creating a record of the manipulation itself, which would identify the source, the date, time, etc.
It would seem that all the President would have to do is turn over a copy of the blockchain record to a court authority, and if the authority learned about and became convinced of blockchain’s immutability, as I now have, the record would speak for itself and would become the true record of the election returns. Every vote manipulated after that would have a record of that and the original record should stand.
Melania’s dress that she wore to vote was an interesting design of links and chains. I think the President was giving us a clue about the safety of the election and how it would be guaranteed.
If that’s all so, then this is the BEST movie of all time, right down to the terror near the end, when some of the characters thought they were going to covid detention camps, never to be heard from again, only to be rescued by the hero of the story.
