What’s really scary to me, even more than having a corrupt nothing senile guy temporarily as POTUS before completely incompetent Kamala takes over, is that so many in this country conspired to do this. This isn’t a fluke - it’s powerful people rubbing our faces in the fact, at leas for now, that they are all that matters and we’d better do as told.

Perhaps becasue I am old or perhaps becasue I am very stubborn, I cannot find any fear within. Disgust. Anger. Sadness. But no fear.
Remove yourself as best you can from the majority of society. This may mean leaving the internet and I don’t say that lightly. It definitely means joining the Church of the Low Profile and ignoring the Church of What’s Happening Now.
Find something to do: a service to offer or a product to sell locally, face-to-face if income is vital. Otherwise, something that demands focus and sets some goals of mastery, just to keep your edge. Repurpose. Use what’s on hand frugally. Limit consumables to essentials.
If you can possibly decamp to somewhere full of other resistors, that’s a preference. Own something small, out-of-the-way and definitely not envied by anyone *woke*. Own it outright. Keep excess assets close at hand and not fully invested unless you have expertise in navigating volatile markets in volatile times.
Stock up, not just to have stuff available, but to lessen the need to venture out to shop. When and if you do shop, choose your source wisely. Don’t enable your own abuse.
Stay as even-keeled as you can. Cry later. Focus. Help someone else do the same. Support those who can and must fight kinetically, to the best of your ability.
Remember that fear is the *little death*. It serves no function, except to alert you to potential threats. Free-floating fear just saps your energy and increases vulnerability.
