I always thought it was because Hillary’s cheating was getting exposed. One box in Detroit had 600 votes for Hillary. When they opened the sealed box for recount, there were only 200 ballots in it. This was being exposed.

That makes a lot of sense. I remembered that the official reason given was along the lines of “continuing the recount isn’t changing the winner”. There wouldn’t be anyone on HRC’s team, including the media, who would want to risk exposing their deeds and methods by continuing the recount. There were future elections that would require the same fraud that was on the verge of being exposed and, after all, they did have the “insurance policy” to deal with President Trump.
