I want them to change the name. That used to mean something entirely...um...different. When I see people playing it, I will sometimes remark: “Look at those people over there cornholing.” . My hopes is this will cause them to see their error here.

If they allow skateboarding, why not as it takes considerable skill to consistently sink that bag.

Got a co-worker some years back when I asked if him and his wife wanted to go to the Cornhole Festival. It’s really called the Corn Festival but figured I’d have some fun with him. Anyway, after I asked him his eyes got as big as saucers and he started backing up all worried like saying that wasn’t his thing. LMAO and messed with him the rest of the week on that one. Still LMAO when I think about it as he was just a youngster.

If synchronized swimming can be an event, I see no reason why cornhole shouldn’t be.

If you can compete at the olympic level while wearing a top hat, in the second trimester of pregnancy, or after five beers, it’s not a sport.

I don’t want to see the Men’s Cornhole Squad.

Don’t look, Ethyl! But it was too late, she’d already been mooned. < /Ray Stevens - The Streak >

THIS is cornhole. Definitely an all-American game and best played outdoors at a barbecue or picnic. Unfortunately some Freepers here have a dirty mind.

This is one of the Top 5 games for beer drinkers. Right up there with Darts, Bocce, volleyball and KanJam (an addictive variation of frisbee golf).

That name has been in use for the favorite Olympic sport of rump rangers since my grandfather’s day at least. I haven’t heard it used to as a name for a beanbag game until this year. If they’re organized enough to make a sport of it, perhaps they should work out a better title first.

As many on this thread have pointed out, the name has to change.

As for adding "bean bag" to the Olympics, why not also add darts (American and British), horseshoes, and tabletop shuffleboard? They can be held in both the summer and winter Olympics, there are already a lot of competitors, and there are plenty of viewers. Also, the beer and liquor companies would fight each other to sponsor the Olympics with those events. The at-home drinking games would be legendary.

I was hoping for Sasuke/Kunoichi (Ninja Warrior), especially with the Olympics being in Tokyo.

“Earl Flopper, President of the Cornhole Association Of Greenland says that it can’t come soon enough. “

I saw the most thrilling Cornhole game of my life at the Thule National Cornhole Stadium. The Kangerlussuaq Cookie Tossers vs. the Manitsoq Manholes.

I would say yes, but only if they can find a way to incorporate Swifter mops, like curling. Let’s also add potato sack racing, pin the tail on the donkey, bobbing for apples, and musical chairs.
